"Hurry up Chloe", my best friend Stella said. For it was the first day of classes a Newton University in Fort Myers, Florida. I have known my friend Stella since practically diapers and we have been best friends ever since. So when It came time to pick out a college my best bud and I chose the same she was going into fashion design and I was going to major in singing. Our parent's and our other bestfriend Tyler had dropped us off a week ago with abunch of tearful goodbye's from their part and silent cheering from our youngest siblings while no one was looking. But now it was our first day in a new school given it was only an hour from our home but we wanted the whole experience without being to fair away. Stella had a lot to look forward to new school, new guy; which was typical. I have always wanted a boyfriend but I must of been cursed because my life is a story of unrequited love. My friends have heard an earful about my insistant whining about guys, "why don't I have a boyfriend?" or "maybe I should just become a nun to avoid guys all together." and everytime I'd get the same hair brain response, "Chloe there are a lot of fish in the sea, you just need to catch a big one." "yeah", I think easier said then done. I've had to tag along with my friends and their boyfriends for like ever and I'm sick of hearing how happy they are. Well this college experience was about to give me luck. At lunchtime Stella was trying to help me scout out guys, I love her but let's just say she is not the best judge of character. She kept pointing out shallow hunks that only want that one thing. It's not like I didn't have any guys friends, I had Tyler, but it would be gross to date him considering we are like brother and sister, besides Stella has already dated him so he is off limits. Let me say something about Stella she is tall blond and has blue eyes the perfect combination to winning the heart of any male with a pulse and she doesn't even try. I have been looking for a boyfriend since third grade and I can't even get a kiss except if you count Ruffles my stuffed animal tiger. I guess another problem is that I'm sort of shy and try to avoid the big social scene.
That night Stella and I sat in are dorm room, all of a sudden Stella jumps up and down like a crazied lunatic,
"Chlo's I've got it!" I think to myself uh oh this can't be good, Stella begins to form words, "I heard about this dating site online called, Cupid Space, geared to college students." I perk my head up from the book I'm currently reading, Twilight". "Stella, thats nuts only I'm lonely not desperate." Stella clearly agitated, "Oh Chloe, it's not about being desperate it's about finding your lover." After much agitation I agreed to join the dating site and see who I could find. First I logged in with Stella's help to make my profile. "you have to make you sound sexy, we have to lure the bate." Just then the phone rang, I picked it up, it was Tyler."
Oh hey, Ty what's up?
Nothing much how is college working out? Tyler who was going to Maramount University in Seattle, WA didn't have to leave for a couple of weeks.
college is good, not the same without you to hang with.
oh really? how's Stella?
She is good, Stella yells in to the phone,
miss you tooo TY.
So how are the hunks of Newton, I fake choke in disguist,
they are shallow, vain and vile. Stella rolls her eyes a look as if to say, "ya, whatever".
I'm sorry to hear that Chlo's, but you know there is always online dating. I bang my head against the wall.
oh god not you too.
What, what did I say?", he recoils.
Stella had the same idea and we were just signing up for me to have a dating profile.
good for you, I hope you land a keeper. easy for him to say, he has had a girlfriend since he was in third grade.
oh ok, I'll try, not sounding to convincing.
Well goodluck Chlo, listen I have to go, sweet dreams girls. as we both hung up Stella eyed me with one of those, "
I feel like I just inherited 1 million dollar". "shall we continue?" So I sat back down and put www.cupidspace.com into my browser. Too be continued
